There may be several Hawthorne Streets, Lanes, Roads etc in the metro area. You are looking for 345, Hawthorne Lane in Charlotte 28204 

at the corner of East 7th Street on Independence Park just SouthEast of uptown Charlotte. Next block from King's College and two blocks from Presbyterian Hospital., three blocks from Central Piedmont Community College (Main Campus) and Memorial Stadium. Hawthorne Recreation Center is located on Hawthorne Lane but entrance to the building is from Park Drive.Parking is also off Park Drive behind the Recreation Center  (See maps below) on Independence Park

Plenty of free parking but please do NOT park on Park Drive itself or go on the wrong-way
